This dataset is based on the Estimates of Expenditure and Revenue of The Government of Saint Lucia according to ministry/institution, department and activity. The dataset has been coded by Classification of Functions of Government (COFOG) and for each row, it reports whether the expenditure is an expense or net investment in nonfinancial assets. The period is fiscal year. COFOG was developed by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and is published by the United Nations Statistical Division (UNSD). COFOG classifies government expenditure data from the System of National Accounts by the purpose for which the funds are used. The COFOG tables present a detailed breakdown of government spending in St. Lucia spanning the fiscal years from 2017 to 2025. The dataset categorizes expenditures using specific classification codes to track how public funds are allocated across various sectors. Each entry displays a transition from actual expenditure figures in earlier years to estimated projections for the 2024–2025 period. By totaling these individual costs, the tables calculate a grand total for the national budget each year. Ultimately, this source serves as a comprehensive financial record of the island's fiscal priorities and economic trends over an eight-year duration.
